2025年柏林影展（第75屆）主競賽與視角單元於稍早公布。李察林克雷特繼2014年的《年少時代 Boyhood》之後闊別十年，再次以新作《Blue Moon》重返主競賽。羅馬尼亞導演哈都裘德也以《Kontinental ’25》回歸。近期傳出二度當爸的韓國導演洪常秀，則以新作《What Does that Nature Say to You》第八次入選主競賽。
華語電影去年在主競賽全軍覆沒，今屆終於有所表現，中國獨立導演霍猛的《生息之地》與文晏的《想飛的女孩》都成功入選。邂逅單元取消後，取而代之的是全新成立的視角單元，台灣導演朱駿騰的首部劇情長片《河鰻》（附圖）出奇入選，該片的前身是2021年首次展出的三頻道錄像作品，據悉該片由潘綱大與柯泯薰領銜主演，全片在社子島拍攝。
本屆柏林影展於2024年2月13日舉行，主競賽評審團主席將由美國導演陶德海恩斯（Todd Haynes）出任。
